    CD2分子又称T11、绵羊红细胞受体（ER）、淋巴细胞功能相关抗原2（LFA-2）和Leu5，是人T淋巴细胞表面的单链糖蛋白.CD2分子是分布于胸腺细胞及所有成熟T淋巴细胞和大部分自然杀伤细胞表面的特征性分化抗原。CD2具有调节T淋巴细胞分化、成熟、激活和凋亡等功能，CD2与LFA-3之间的粘附功能对于T淋巴细胞TCR识别外来抗原与APC细胞表面MHC抗原复合物、肿瘤抗原、病毒感染靶细胞以及同种异体抗原均有重要的辅助作用。
    最近研究表明，CD48和CD59也是CD2的配体，参与T细胞的粘附和细胞间的相互作用,此外，CD2可以与其它膜分子如CD44、CD45的功能有关。CD2具有对T细胞的旁路激活途径作用。
    CD2 is a surface antigen of the human T lymphocyte lineage that is expressed on all peripheral blood T cells. It is one of the earliest T cell markers, being present on more than 95% of thymocytes; it is also found on some natural killer cells but not on B lymphocytes.
    CD2 interacts with lymphocyte function associated antigen (LFA3) and CD48/BCM1 to mediate adhesion between T cells and other cell types. CD2 is implicated in the triggering of T cells, the cytoplasmic domain is implicated in the signaling function. It is useful for the identification of lymphomas and leukaemias of T cell origin.
