    穿膜蛋白DLK1又称肝癌相关基因，是表皮生长因子(EGF)家族的成员之一,其结构特征为蛋白的细胞外区域拥有在结构及氨基酸序列上与表皮生长因子高度同源的重复结构.DLK1可以抑制脂肪前体细胞向脂肪细胞分化,在正常神经内分泌细胞及其肿瘤细胞中表达, DLK1在神经内分泌轴中起着调控细胞生长分化的作用,同时DLK1在胚胎肝、造血干细胞及早期肌肉组织中均有表达.

    Delta 1 is a homolog of the Notch Delta ligand and acts as a ligand for Notch receptors. Delta 1 is a member of the delta/serrate/jagged family. It plays a role in mediating cell fate decisions during hematopoiesis. It may play a role in cell-to-cell communication. Delta 1 blocks the differentiation of progenitor cells into the B-cell lineage while promoting the emergence of a population of cells with the characteristics of a T-cell/NK-cell precursor.
