    Stra8是哺乳动物生殖细胞由有丝分裂转变为减数分裂前特异表达的基因，是一种生殖细胞特异性表达并受视黄酸诱导的基因。Stra8是减数分裂起始的调节蛋白,参与了雌性胚胎期和雄性出生后生殖细胞的减数分裂起始过程。
