产品介绍
同源结构域蛋白(Homeodomain Proteins) PAX-5属于转录抑制因子。在胚胎发育和肿瘤生长中起关键作用。其突变和某些肿瘤的发病有关。
The PAX5 gene is a member of the paired box (PAX) family of transcription factors. The central feature of this gene family is a novel, highly conserved DNA-binding motif, known as the paired box. The PAX proteins are important regulators in early development, and alterations in the expression of their genes are thought to contribute to neoplastic transformation. The PAX5 gene encodes the B-cell lineage specific activator protein (BSAP) that is expressed at early, but not late stages of B-cell differentiation. Its expression has also been detected in developing CNS and testis, therefore, PAX5 gene product may not only play an important role in B-cell differentiation, but also in neural development and spermatogenesis. PAX5 expression is not only continuously required for B cell lineage commitment during early B cell development but also for B lineage maintenance. PAX5 is found in most cases of mature and precursor B cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas/leukemias. Pax-5 is not detected in Multiple myeloma and solitary plasmacytoma cell lymphomas do express Pax5 except for those with terminal B cell differentiation. T cell neoplasms do not stain with anti-Pax5; however there is a strong association with CD20 expression. mol wt:43kDa Other Aliases: Paired box gene 5(B cell lineage specific activator protein); B cell lineage specific activator protein; B cell specific transcription factor; BSAP; Paired box 5; Paired box gene 5; Paired box homeotic gene 5; Paired box protein Pax 5; PAX 5; Transcription factor PAX 5
